Shell Island at Panama City Beach
Shell Island is a pristine, beautifully preserved island separating the Gulf of Mexico and St. Andrews Bay in Panama City Beach, and fortunately for Bay Point Marina patrons and guests, only minutes by boat from Bay Point Marina.
Approximately seven miles long and no more than a quarter-mile wide at its widest point, Shell Island is home to an abundance of naturally occurring sand dunes, sea oats, sugar-white beaches and wildlife. The only access is by boat, and the waters surrounding the island are home to a vast array of fascinating sea life, including one of the largest concentrations of Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins to be found anywhere in the United States.
Shell Island offers Bay Point Marina boaters excellent snorkeling, superb fishing and some of the most secluded beaches available in North Florida.
There are no facilities or concessions on the island itself so take what you need, stay as long as you like, bring home with you a boatload of treasured memories, and leave nothing but footprints in the sand.
